Calendar and timetabling

What:

Use Office 365 calendars to schedule classes and homework, prompting students with automatic reminders when work is due. Manage room bookings by adding a resource to a Calendar event.

Video: Send web research for lessons or quick note reminders to OneNote

Why:

  • By adding mailboxes for rooms in Exchange, you can manage bookings for meeting and conference rooms. Staff can see availability of rooms in Office 365 calendars and book them directly online or from Outlook.
  • You can also make useful teaching and learning resources available to be booked for classes and meetings. This takes the hard work out of coordinating the use of your institution's audio-visual resources, and is perfect for managing shared use of IT and science equipment, for example.

How:

  • Calendars can be overlaid in different colours so, for example, students can see at a glance what homework they have. Calendars can be synced to computers, tablets and phones.
