Parent engagement

Create a class blog

What:

All Office 365 for Education users can create their own blogs that are visible to just a few invitees or your whole institution.

Share events, ideas, successes and projects for parents to enjoy and comment on.

Why:

  • Blogs are great for sharing details of events, ideas and opinions, and other users can leave comments. Blogs are also a great way of encouraging literacy through extended writing and reading - especially for traditionally reluctant groups of readers and writers.
  • You might want to share a class blog with parents, so that they can see what topics and activities their children are working on. You can easily share websites, videos and photographs. You could have 'blog monitors' so that students manage class blogs themselves.
